Olga Obukhova (Mezzo soprano)
Olga Obukhova graduated from the Ural State Mussorgsky Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire in 1989.
Since 1989, she has been a soloist of the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theatre. At the Theatre, she has performed Marfa in Mussorgsky’s Khovanshchina, Lyubasha in Rimsky-Korsakov’s Tsar’s Bride, Marina Mniszech and Fyodor in Mussorgsky’s Boris Godunov, Azucena in Verdi’s Il trovatore, Maddalena in Verdi’s Rigoletto, Lady in Verdi’s Macbeth, Amneris in Verdi’s Aida, Ulrica in Verdi’s Un ballo in maschera, Carmen in Bizet’s Carmen, Dalila in Saint-Saëns’s Samson et Dalila, Konchakovna in Borodin’s Prince Igor, Orfeo in Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice, Flora in Verdi’s La traviata, Olga in Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin, Laura in Tchaikovsky’sIolanta, Countess, Polina, Milovzor, and Governess in Tchaikovsky’s Queen of Spades, Sonetka in Shostakovich’s Lady Macbethof Mtsensk, Princess in Dargomyzhsky’s Rusalka, Varvara in Janáček’s Káťa Kabanová, Snow Queen in Banevich’s Story of Kai and Gerda, and the mezzo-soprano solo in Verdi’s Requiem among others.
She has participated in many masterclasses held by famous Italian singers and pianists, as well as in international festivals. With the Novosibirsk Opera Company, she has toured to Egypt, Spain, Germany, and Italy.
Since 2014, she has been the Head of the Opera Company of the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theatre.
Since 2018, she has been the Acting Director of the Opera Company of the Mikhailovsky Theatre.
