The project Kings of the Dance has successfully toured around the world: rave
reviews of critics on both sides of the Atlantic and frenzy of the public
accompany every performance of the Kings. The secret of the project is quite
simple: it engages principal dancers of the best dance companies of Europe and
the US. In 2009, stars of the ABT, New York City Ballet, the Mariinsky and
Bolshoi Theatres Marcelo Gomez, Jose Manuel Carreсo, Joaquнn De Luz , Denis
Matvyenko, Ivan Vassiliev and Nikolay Tsiskaridze perform the ballets by
Frederick Ashton, Nacho Duato, Roland Petit, Christopher Wheeldon, Boris Eifman,
Leonid Jacobson and other outstanding choreographers. Kings of the Dance will
reign at the Mikhailovsky. Creative director and producer of the project –
Sergey Danilian.
