Stanislav Izmailov (Violin soloist)
Stanislav Izmailov was born in Leningrad. He
began to study the violin at the age of five,
and at the age of thirteen he won 1st prize
at the International Brother and Sister Competition.
In 2000 he graduated from the Rimsky-Korsakov College in violin
(class of Elena Zaitseva). The same year, he entered
the St Petersburg State Conservatoire (class of Professor
Antonina Kazarina). During his studies, he appeared at numerous
international festivals. In 2004 he made an acclaimed debut with
the Symphony Orchestra of Moldovan Radio and Television
(Chiєinгu) during the international Crescendo festival,
performing Alexander Glazunov’s Violin Concerto. From 2006 to 2009
Stanislav Izmailov was Leader of the Symphony Orchestra
of the State Academic Cappella in St Petersburg, often
appearing there as a soloist. In the spring of 2009
following a competitive audition he was admitted to the Mariinsky
Symphony Orchestra directed by Valery Gergiev as Deputy Leader
and soloist. Since December 2011 he has been a Leader
of the Mariinsky Orchestra.
