Peter Gribanov (Conductor)
Peter A. Gribanov was born in Samara City in 1952. In 1982 he has graduated from Leningrad State Conservatoire (class of Prof. Georgy E.Yerzhemsky&mdashthe founder of the theory of Impulse Conducting). Later he has has completed his Post Grad studies in Symphonic and Operatic Conducting at Novosibirsk State Conservatoire (class of Prof. Arnold. M. Katz). In 1988 he has won All-Russia Conductors' Competition (Grand Prix) and in 2002 was made a Honorary Member of St. Petersburg Philharmonic Society. He has directed and conducted many prominent orchestras in Russia and abroad. Since 2006 he is a Chief Conductor and Artistic Director of Karaganda Symphony Orchestra, Kazakhstan. He is also teaching conducting in St.Petersburg Conservatoire and led conducting masterclasses in St.Petersburg.
