Alexander Lubyantsev´s performing style has been described by
authoritative musician and teacher Dmitry Bashkirov as "fresh and fantastical".
His pianism truly has an element of the fantastical, "magical", ghostly
otherworldly sounds and captivating images, but with Lubyantsev this opaqueness
and illusory feel is combined with bright, life-giving energy. Moreover,
Alexander possesses a wonderful technique, with an extremely light facture,
amazing sound and staggering freedom of phrasing. It is undeniable that this
young pianist performs with extreme inspiration. Her performing style and mental
approach to performing create a feeling of utter happiness – for both the
performer and the audience

interpretation. His remarkable technique and variety of touch earned him 3rd
prize in the XIII Tchaikovsky International Competition in Moscow, Russia in
