Fyodor Kabelsky was born in Chelyabinsk in 1980. He graduated
from the Novosibirsk Glinka Conservatoire (violin class
of Professor Mikhail Turich). Prize-winner at the All-Russian violin
competition West-Siberia-East (2nd prize), diploma-recipient
at the international violin competition The Youth Arts Assembly
and grant-recipient of the New Names programme. Has appeared
as a soloist at the Column Hall of the House
of Unions in Moscow, the St Petersburg State Capella and
various other venues in France, Italy and the Netherlands.
Since 1998 he has worked with the Novosibirsk
Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra, and since 2002 he has been leader
of the second violins. Frequently performs as a chamber
musician. He is always looking for new ways to produce
sounds on the violin, the instrument he adores.
