Hovhannes Ayvazyan (Tenor)

Participant at the International Plбcido Domingo OPERALIA Competition (2012)
Recipient of the Armenian Presidential Prize (2009)
Prize-winner at the International Gasparyan Opera Competition (1st prize, Yerevan, 2008)
Prize-winner at the Tatevik Sazandarian Republican Competition of Singers and Performers (2nd prize, Yerevan, 2007)

Born in Yerevan (Armenia). In 2011 he graduated from the Yerevan State Komitas Conservatoire.
Since 2010 Hovhannes Ayvazyan has frequently performed with the Opera Belcanto of York in South Simcoe, Toronto, Canada (Turiddu (Cavalleria rusticana) and Cavaradossi (Tosca)).
In 2013 the singer performed the role of Manrico in the opera Il trovatore at the Novaya Opera in Moscow and appeared in a Verdi gala with Anna Netrebko at the new Mariinsky Theatre.
Other engagements for 2013 include appearances at the Mariinsky Theatre as Cavaradossi in the opera Tosca (19 July) and Manrico in the opera Il trovatore (9 August, concert performance).
Guest soloist with the Novaya Opera in Moscow. Lead soloist with the Yerevan State Alexander Spendiaryan Opera and Ballet Theatre.
