Vladimir Milosevic (Piano)
One of the most prominent Serbian
pianists of his generation, Vladimir Miloseviс has recently been
proclaimed the winner of the 2013 Rising Artist Concerto
Presentation by the New York Concert Artists & Associates
and he will feature with NYCA Symphony Orchestra
in the 2013-2014 season in New York. So far, his
performances have been hailed by critics throughout Europe
at such venues as the Salle Cortot in Paris, Steinway Hall
in London, the Konzerthaus in Berlin, the Teatro Tivoli
in Porto, Foerster Hall in Prague, the Teatro Olimpico
in Vicenza, the Konzerthaus in Vienna and the Mann
Auditorium in Tel Aviv as well as Milan, Rome, Bari, Venice,
Rennes, Nice and Lyon. As a winner of the Concerti
in Villa competition in Vicenza, he made his debut concert
at the acclaimed Carnegie Hall in New York in 2005
and was subsequently featured within the concert series Velikani
muzičke scene (Rising Stars) at the Kolarac Hall
in Belgrade. In 2007 he toured South Africa where he held recitals
in major concert venues such as the Baxter Theatre in Cape
Town and the Linder Auditorium in Johannesburg among others
and performed with the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra,
the Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra and the symphony
orchestras of Bloemfontein and Durban. He has toured Brazil
(Porto Alegre, Pelotas, São José dos Campos) and Morocco (Casablanca, Rabat
and Marrakesh) and most recently Australia, performing recitals
and giving master-classes in Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne.
He has been invited repeatedly to the biggest classical music
festival in Serbia – the Belgrade Music Festival (BEMUS)
where, in 2010, his recital marked the anniversaries of Chopin
and Schumann. He took part in other important music festivals
in the country, as well as in the former Yugoslav
Republics of Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro
and Croatia. Very active as a chamber musician, he regularly
performs with Serbian cellist Dragan Djordjeviс with whom he toured Serbia
and performed at festivals in Zagreb (Večeri na Griču),
Belgrade (International Cello Fest) and Kotor. He has also
collaborated with other musicians such as flautist János Bálint
and violinists David Castro-Balbi and Eric Crambes.
At the Semaines musicales festival in Crans-Montana
(Switzerland) he performed in a piano duo with Michel Dalberto, following
which he was invited to the renowned festival Les Pianos de nouveau
siècle in Lille (France) where he performed as one
of the soloists in Mozart’s Concerto for Three Pianos together
with Michel Dalberto and Jean-Bernard Pommier and the Orchestre
symphonique de Bretagne. He has won several international competitions
in France (the Nikolai Rubinstein Competition in Paris, Rencontre
internationale de piano in Mée-sur-Seine and TIM
in Marseille) and took 3rd prize
at the Concours Animato in Paris.
At the Southern Highlands International Piano Competition
in Australia, he also won 3rd prize as well
as the special prize for the best performance of a major
Romantic work and the audience prize. He won 4th prizes
at the International Paderewski Piano Competition in Bydgoszcz
(Poland) and at the international Piano Competition Ciudad do
Porto in Portugal. He has been a semi-finalist at major
international competitions including the Clara Haskil Competition
in Switzerland, the Cleveland International Piano Competition
in Ohio (USA) and the International Frédéric Chopin Piano
Competition in Warsaw (Poland). As a soloist, he has performed
with the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, the RTS Symphony Orchestra,
the orchestra of the Prague Opera, the Porto Alegre Symphony
Orchestra, the Porto Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra del Teatro
Olimpico, the Wollongong Symphony Orchestra and the Pomeranian
Philharmonic Orchestra and has collaborated with conductors including
Anton Nanut, Darinka Matiс Maroviс, Biljana Radovanoviс, János Fürst, Martinho
Lutero, Nurhan Arman, Emmanuel Siffert, Ori Leshman, Omri Hadari, Romolo Gessi,
Jean-Bernard Pommier, Jerzy Maksymiuk and Carlos Alvarado. He has made
recordings for radio and TV stations in Japan, France, Brazil, Poland,
South Africa and Canada. Vladimir Miloseviс graduated from
the Faculty of Music Arts in Belgrade where he studied with
Professor Nevena Popoviс, and he subsequently completed his postgraduate
studies in the same class. He continued specialist studies
in Italy at the renowned Incontri col Maestro academy
in Imola (classes of Lazar Berman and Michel Dalberto). He
has also taken courses from Naum Shtarkman, François-René Duchâble
and Zoltán Kocsis. Since 2005 he has taught
at the Faculty of Music Arts in Belgrade.
