Marina Tregubovich (Soprano)

Marina Tregubovich was born into the family of the famous director Victor Tregubovich. She has been in movies since her childhood. Since the age of 17, she worked with the St Petersburg Musical Comedy Theatre. In 1993, she graduated from the St Petersburg State Conservatoire and the same year joined the Mikhailovsky Opera. In 2000Ė2002, she was a guest soloist with the Baden Theatre (Karlsruhe, Germany). In 2004Ė2008, she cooperated with Duke University. In 2006, she participated in a concert of the Indiana Conservatoire.

Marina Tregubovich joined the Mikhailovsky Opera in 1993. She performed Domna Saburova in Rimsky-Korsakovís Tsarís Bride, the Cook in Rimsky-Korsakovís Tale of Tsar Saltan, Yaroslavna in Borodinís Prince Igor, Countess Ceprano in Verdiís Rigoletto, the soprano part in Verdiís Requiem, Ida and Rosalinde in Straussís Die Fledermaus, Mercédès in Bizetís Carmen, Marguerite in Gounodís Faust, Silva in Kalmanís Silva, the Second Lady in Khrennikovís Naked King (productions by Stanislav Gaudasinsky), Anna in Mozartís Don Giovanni, Mimì in Pucciniís La Bohème, and the Priestís Daughter in Shostakovichís Tale of the Priest and of His Workman Balda. She has also performed Domna Saburova in The Tsarís Bride staged by Andrey Moguchy. She participated in the Mikhailovsky Opera Japan tours many times.

Nowadays, at the Mikhailovsky Theatre she performs leading soprano parts in the operas by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Giuseppe Verdi, Giacomo Puccini, Pietro Mascagni, Antonín Dvořák, Engelbert Humperdinck, and Boris Asafiev.
