One of the brightest pianists of our time, Nikolai luganskiy was borne in 1972 in Moscow in the family of scientific workers. Initial musical formation was obtained in the central musical school (teacher t.E.Kestner), and then in the Moscow state conservatory of the name Of p.I.Chaykovskogo and the graduate study, where its teachers were T.P.Nikolayeva and S.L.Dorenskiy.
N.Luganskiy - conqueror OF THE I All-Union competition of young musicians in Tbilisi (1988), the laureate OF THE VIII international competition of the name Of i.S.Bakha in Leipzig (II reward, 1988), the All-Union competition of the name Of s.V.Rakhmaninova in Moscow (II reward, 1990), the possessor of the special reward to the international summer academy Mozarteum (Salzburg, 1992), the conqueror X of the international competition of the name Of p.I.Chaykovskogo in Moscow (1994) and the possessor of the special prize of the fund For e.Neizvestnogo "for ispovedal‘nost‘ of tone and artistic contribution to the new interpretation of Russian music - to student and Uchitelyu".
In 1995 N.Luganskiy was rewarded with the reward to the name of Judd‘s Terensa as the most promising pianist of young generation. In 2003 it obtained the prize of German criticism for the record of Rakhmaninoff‘s concerts, in the same year the newspaper "musical review" named Luganskogo the best soloist of season 2001-2002. The concert activity of pianist began as early as his school years. It much came out in the capital and other cities of Russia. In 1988 took place Nikolai luganskiy‘s debut abroad, when it came out on the concerts of the international festival MIDEM in Kannakh. Since then the artist gave many solo concerts and appearances with the orchestras more than in 150 cities of peace.
Nikolai luganskiy appears in the most prestige halls of the peace: Large hall of Moscow conservatory and Petersburg philharmonic society, Theatre du Chatelet, London Royal Festival Hall, Barbican Centre, and Wigmore Hall, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Hoolliwood Boul in Los Angeles, Gasteig in Munich, A.lte Of or.er in Frankfurt, halls of France, Switzerland, Greece, Spain, USA, South Korea, Japan, Belgium and other countries.
He collaborates with the most important symphonic orchestras (Orchestre De Paris, Royal Concertgebouw, Philharmonia, Halle Orchestra, Dresdner Philharmonic, Tokyo Symphonic, Netherlands Philharmonic, Rotterdam Philharmonic, San Francisco Symphony).
It played with such renowned conductors as Ye.Svetlanov, G.Rozhdestvenskiy, V.Gergiyev, V.Fedoseyev, M.Pletnev, Yu.Simonov, V.Spivakov, V.Sinayskiy, S.Sondetskis, I.Shpiller, F.Bryuggen, G.Dzhenkins, G.Shelli, K.Mazur, R.Shayi, K.Nagano, M.Yanovski, P.Berglund, N.Yarvi, sir ch.Makkerras, L.Slatkin, Yu.Temirkanov, 3. de vaart, E.Krivin, etc.
Pianist is well known as excellent it ansamblist and the thin interpreter of chamber music. His repertoire includes more than 40 concerts for fortepiano with the orchestra, the work of different styles and epochs - from Bach to contemporary kompozitorov.
N.Luganskiy wrote down three long-playing plates and 17 CDS (in Russia, Japan, Holland), which received appreciation in the musical press. Besides the saturated theatrical- concert activity the musician teaches in the Moscow conservatory, being the assistant of professor s.L.Dorenskogo.
