Biography

Alena Klochkova was born on October 6, 1978 in Sverdlovsk, Russia.
In 1996 she graduated from the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet.
From 1996 – 2005 she was a soloist of the of the Mussorgsky Opera and Ballet Theater.
In 2005 she graduated from the Lesgaft Academy of Physical Culture.

She is the prizewinner of the International ballet competition “Vaganova-Prix” in 1995.
She is a laureate of the choreographic schools competition of Siberia and the Far East in 1994.
Alena Klochkova has toured in Spain, France, China, Poland and Italy.
Since 2004 she has performed as a soloist of the Hermitage Theatre and the Palace theatre.

From her first ballet performances on stage, this ballerina conquered hearts of ballet aficionados of the most critical audiences in the world. The elegance of her dance, talent, perfect technique, virtuoso spins, and high jumps, combined with her artistry and charm are the features of Klochkova’s on stage presence. She has appreciated and loved by spectators in many cities of the world. Alena Klochkova is always besieged to dance on tours of the world’s best stages. She has never disappointed and has many admirers, both abroad and in Russia.

Being the perfectionist that she is, Alena, is constantly working on polishing her technique. She has observed that dancing in the heart of the historic South of America will be a great thrill for her. Gone With the Wind is one of her all time favorite films and she is really looking forward to eating Southern Cooking. She is especially known at the Hermitage for her parts of Giselle, Odette, Odile and Aurora.
