Andrey Kasyanenko (Dancer)
Graduated from the Vaganova Ballet Academy in 2004 and went on to join the Boris Eifman Ballet Theatre.
In 2004–2008, his repertoire at the Theatre included roles in the ballets Russian Hamlet (Paul), Anna Karenina (Vronsky), Mousagete (Lover), Requiem (Man).
In 2008, he joined the Mikhailovsky Theatre, where he performed the roles of Crassus and Centurions (Spartacus, chor. by George Kovtun), Rothbart (Swan Lake, rev. by Nikolay Boyarchikov), Tybalt (Romeo and Juliet, chor. by Oleg Vinogradov), Friend (The Moor’s Pavane, chor. by Jose Limon), Gurn (La Sylphide), Birbanto (Le Corsaire, rev. by Farukh Ruzimatov), The Rose Waltz (The Nutcracker, chor. by Nikolay Boyarchikov). Nowadays, his repertoire includes solo roles in the revised versions of Swan Lake, Le Corsaire, Don Quixote, Giselle, ou Les Wilis, La Bayadère, as well as ballets The Flames of Paris, Laurencia, The Bronze Idol, The Nutcracker, The Sleeping Beauty, Multiplicity. Forms of Silence and Emptiness, and one-act ballets by Nacho Duato.
