Arnold Rutkowski (Tenor)
The tenor born in Lodz, was a soloist in Wroclaw Opera between 2006 and 2009.
After his debut in the Luciano Pavarotti Theatre in Modena in 2009, as Don
Jose in Carmen by G. Bizet, his career started to develop rapidly. The artist
performed in opera houses such as: Teatro Ravenna, Teatro Ferrara, Opera de San
Juan (Puerto Rico), Phoenix Metropolitan Opera, Detroit Opera House, Szeged
Opera Festival, Opera Budapest, Moskow-Tchaikowskiy Hall, Sankt
Petersburg-Mikhailovski Theater, Stockholm Royal Opera House, Opera Toulon,
Opera Marseille, Deutsche Oper am Rhein Düsseldorf, Oper Liepzig, Staatsoper
Stuttgart, Semperoper Drezden, Staatsoper Hamburg, Staatsoper Berlin, Sydney
Opera House, Volksoper Wien, Theatre de Genewe and the Zurich Opera House.
We will have the opportunity to hear him soon not only in the Lime Opera
(Peru) at the festival in Aix-an-Provance, but also in the Lyon Opera, Strasburg
Opera, Theater Bolshoy in Moskow and the Bastille Opera in Paris,
The polish Tenor worked together with conductors such as: Nello Santi, Pier
Giorgio Morandi, Lejf Segerstam, Massimo Zanetti and dirsctors: Robert Carsen,
Dimitri Tcherniakov and Jonathan Miller.
His signature roles are: Don Jose in Carmen by G. Bizet, Rodolfo in La bohème
by G. Puccini, Manrico in Il trovatore by G. Verdi and Edgardo in Lucia di
Lammermoor by G. Donizetti. Currently the tenor works on enriching his
repertoire with stronger roles. In 2009 Placido Domingo himself appreciated
Arnold Rutkowski’s talent by inviting him to a joint performance during
Domingo’s concert in Poland.
