CLOSING OF THE 2014/2015 SEASON at Mikhailovsky theatre by Peter Tchaikovsky "Eugene Onegin" (Opera in 3 Acts) on 28 July 2015. The performance is awarded with the National Theatre Award Golden Mask in three categories: Best Opera Production, Best Opera Director (Andriy Zholdak), Best Light Designer in Musical Theatre (AJ Weissbard).

Mikhailovsky Classical Ballet and Opera Theatre (established 1833)


On 4,6 and8 July 2015 will take place Premiere ofopera Giuseppe Verdi "Il trovatore" at Mikhailovsky Classical Ballet and Opera Theatre. The intricate, medieval plot of the opera, often considered impossible to even retell in a succinct manner, is presented by Dmitri Tcherniakov on a small scale, in an intimate performance.
