Jasminka STANCUL (Piano)

With three different Mozart-piano-concerts Jasminca Stancul will open the Mozart-year 2006 at Grosses Festspielhaus Salzburg. As well Mozart she plays with Estonian National Symphony Orchestra Tallinn under Nikolai Alexeev, with the Haydn-Orchester Bolzano under Marco Boni and with Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland Pfalz under the baton of Ari Rasilainen during the later 2005/06 season. In 2006 she will tour together with Wiener Symphoniker under the baton of Fabio Luisi (Beethoven), with Robert Schumann-Philharmonie Chemnitz under Niksa Bareza (Beethoven) and together with Wiener Concertverein under the baton of Ulf Schirmer (Shostakovich).

Already in autumn 2005 Jasminca Stancul will appear in the USA playing Grieg’s Piano concerto with Madison Symphony Orchestra under Arild Remmereit. In April 2005 she made her outstanding recital-debut in the Brahms-Saal of Wiener Musikverein and appeared at the renowned Klavier-Festival Ruhr later. A close cooperation she is having with the Wiener Streichquartett, a Wiener Philharmoniker-ensemble. Numerous performances at the Wiener Musikverein are among the mutual activities, as well as international guest performances, like in Japan (7 concerts in October 2005) and at the Dubrovnik Festival (3 concerts in August 2005).

Since she won the 1st prize at the International Beethoven Competition in Vienna Jasminka Stancul performed with the following orchestras: Wiener Symphoniker, Mozarteum Orchestra, Camerata Academica Salzburg, Bruckner Orchestra Linz, Prague Symphony Orchestra, Berliner Sinfonie-Orchester, Badische Staatskapelle Karlsruhe, Slovenian Philharmonic, Warsaw Philharmonic, Hungarian National Philharmonic, Zagreb Philharmonic, Orchestre de Paris, Orchestre Philharmonique de Luxembourg, Orchestre Philharmonique de Liege, Gulbenkian Foundation, Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic and Tokyo Symphony Orchestra.

Jasminka Stancul has worked with outstanding conductors such as Bartolome, Baudo, Graf, Horvat, Kobayashi, Kuhn, Luisi, Maazel, Ono, Rahbari, Sanderling, Saraste, Sieghart, Stein, Weil and Wildner. Jasminka Stancul appeared at many important Festivals, like the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival, Rheingau Musik Festival, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Settimane Musicale di Stresa, Wiener Musiksommer, Carinthischer Sommer, Radio France Montpellier as well as in Toulouse, Besancon and Bratislava.

For Discover she recorded all Beethoven-Concerts, for Camerata Tokyo the Schubert-Trios and for Koch the Forellen-Quintett with the Ensemble Wien. She makes recordings for the Norddeutscher, Hessischer and Austrian Radio and plays chamber music with famous colleagues like Boris Pergamenschikow, Christian Altenburger and David Geringas.

Jasminka Stancul, born in Serbia, and meanwhile Austrian citizen, studied in her home country and at the Music Conservatory in Vienna with Noel Flores. From the Swiss Government she got a two-year-scolarship for extraordinary talented artists, which allowed her to study in the master class of Maria Tipo in Geneva.
