Born in Leningrad.
Graduated from the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet (class of Natalia Dudinskaya).
Has been with the Mariinsky Theatre since 1985. Soloist since 1991.

Prize-winner at the All-Union Ballet Competition (Moscow, 1984).

La Sylphide (The Sylph), The Sleeping Beauty (Aurora, Princess Florine, Tender Fairy), Romeo and Juliet (Juliet), The Fountain of Bakhchisarai (Maria), The Nutcracker (Masha, Doll, Pas de trois), Giselle (Giselle), The Legend of Love (Shyrin), Vinogradov?s Cinderella (Cinderella), Scotch Symphony (Second soloist), Le Corsaire (Gulnara, Pas de trois of the odalisques), Chopiniana (Mazurka, 7th waltz, 11th waltz), Raymonda (variation in the Dream scene), Swan Lake (Pas de trois), La Bayadere (Pas de trois in The Kingdom of Shadows), "Paquita" Grand Pas (variation, Pas de trois), Le Baiser de la fee (the Bride), Jewels (Emeralds), Anna Karenina (Kitty).

With the Mariinsky Ballet, she has performed at theatres including the Royal Opera House, the Opera de Paris, the Metropolitan Opera, the Teatro de Colon and La Scala.
